The Way of Beauty (Young Adults)
Russian novelist Fyodor Dostoevsky claimed that ‘Beauty will save the world.’ This statement is in many ways, both, radical and multifaceted. If our culture is in desperate need of restoration and it is possible that beauty could be the key to this restoration than it is worth investigating both the essence and ability of beauty to transfigure a broken world. However, for beauty to restore, it must first be restored.
This talk will explore the depth and vastness of the concept of beauty as an intricate and complex wonder that speaks to the core of the human heart. Madeleine will discuss the need for beauty to be restored in our culture today through our relationships and approach towards suffering.
